Montenegro is a Balkan country with rugged mountains, medieval villages and a narrow strip of beaches along its Adriatic coastline. The Bay of Kotor, resembling a fjord, is dotted with coastal churches and fortified towns such as Kotor and Herceg Novi.
Myriad powers fought over these lands and that is why the locals are tall and strong, their eyes are of different shades of all colors, and their welcoming hug is warm and brotherly. Those looking for a multicultural European history are more than welcome to Montenegro.
The country stands between the east and the west. Different civilizations crashing and colliding have left the most beautiful marks between the wrinkled mountainous face of this fascinating country. Roman floor mosaics, Illyrian gray castles, Venetian stony walls, vibrantly painted Orthodox monasteries, ornamental Catholic churches, modest and minimalistic mosque minarets and plane socialist style buildings will tell you about Montenegrin rich cultural history.
Domestic prosciutto – Njeguš steak ( steak stuffed with prosciutto), oysters and seafood, Montenegrian wine Vranac and most popular Niksic beer are some of the dishes you need to taste there.

Herceg Novi is founded over 600 years ago, in 1382. The city itself is located between the mountain Orjen and the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. For a city of only 36 000 inhabitants and a relativly small surface area, it has a lot to offer. Old fortresses, beautiful walkways, stunning churches, charming islands and spectacular viewpoints.
08:45 – 09:45
After the city of Herceg Novi we are going for a ride through the Bay of Kotor. It is one of the most beautiful bays in the World and is under UNESCO World Heritage Sites protection. The most striking and strategically crucial strait of Bay of Kotor is the Strait of Verige, which is opposite the town of Perast. Today, Verige is one of the most popular photo locations.
09:45 – 10:45
Perast is a tiny, idyllic village on the breathtaking Bay of Kotor. Despite a mere population of 247, Perast’s rich history, ancient architecture, jaw-dropping views, and romantic waterfront restaurant patios make it a captivating destination. Just off the coast of Perast, the 17th-century Our Lady of the Rocks church is a majestic sight. Framed by mountain peaks and cobalt blue waters, the church appears to float on the water’s surface, and has fast become one of Montenegro’s most photographed landmarks.
10:45 – 14:15
Our next stop will be the city of Kotor. After half an hour drive you will have 3 hours of free time to enjoy the towns medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares, and Venetian palaces and pillories. Massive city walls span for more than 4 kilometers and are one of the main attractions.
14:15 – 16:45
After time well spent and many snapshots for future memories our driver will be ready to take you back to your hotel.
